How Working with a Life Coach can Help you Improve your Life

be challenged”

About 50% of people who make New Year’s resolutions break them within a week. By the end of January, that figure has shot up to 75%.
A large proportion of people who buy self-help books never read them. Of those that do, many don’t do the exercises or take the action that is recommended in them.
How many of you have read an article giving wonderful tips, hints, ideas for improving your life and when you read them they sound fantastic and yet you never take the action necessary to benefit from those ideas?
Maybe you are one of the few people who think about doing something to improve your life and then act on that wisdom. Most people think of what they could do, or want to do and then leave that thought to be put into action one day!
It is said that a goal is a dream with a date on it. When working with a life coach, you create realistic goals that are based on outcomes you really want, with a clear understanding of why your life would be better if you reach that goal, and a time limit on when you want to achieve it by. Knowing why you want to achieve something is a major part of the process. Once you get that vision of what you want to achieve and how great it will feel when you have succeeded, you will have the motivation to take the necessary action.
A life coach will help you to visualise your goal in a way that makes it enticing enough for you to really want to work towards it. A life coach will push you through the motivation dip, which occurs when you lose the initial enthusiasm for your goal or it has started to seem like hard work and you manage to find a hundred reasons why you deserve that bar of chocolate, you can’t make it to the gym, you prefer living in chaos, your job really isn’t that boring, it is too risky to start that new business, your relationship is fine, if only your partner would…………………., or you will sort out your finances when…………………..
Working with a life coach is having someone who believes in you and your abilities supporting, motivating and gently challenging you! A life coach is on your side and wants what is best for you and your life so that you can live the best and happiest life you possibly can using all your gifts and talents in the process.
What would you do, if you knew that by doing it you would improve an aspect of your life?
What one thing could you do today that would take you nearer your goal?
Do something towards your goal every day – no matter how small.
